A BILL to amend section thirty, article twenty-three, chapter
nineteen of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine
hundred thirty-one, as amended, relating to continuing the
racing commission.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That section thirty, article twenty-three, chapter nineteen
of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one,
as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated
section thirty, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 23. HORSE AND DOG RACING.
§19-23-30. Termination of the racing commission.
Pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of
this code, the racing commission shall continue to exist until the
first day of July, one thousand nine hundred ninety nine two thousand.

(NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to continue the Racing
Commission until July 1, 2000, pursuant to the provisions of the
West Virginia Sunset Law.
